Stop Letting Anxiety Win: Take the Small Steps 🧠🚶

If You’re Reading This… 👀

Chances are you’re at uni right now—maybe sitting in your flat, staring at the walls. Or maybe you’re 30, living at home. Either way, I think we all need to hear this:

I’ve had (and still have) really bad anxiety my whole life. I would literally make myself sick from overthinking. And when that happens, the easiest thing to do is nothing. Stay at home, where it feels safe.

But bro—life’s too short for that.

When you hide away, you’re not making it better. You’re feeding the anxiety. You’re letting it multiply. You’re letting it consume you.

The solution? Small steps.

1. Leave the House 🚶

Go for a walk. Even if it’s five minutes.
I’ve had those moments where I felt like everyone was watching me when I walked down the street. The truth? No one cares. Everyone’s stuck in their own world, worrying about themselves.

2. Hit the Gym 🏋️

The gym is scary when you’re anxious. I’ve been there. But here’s what I’ve learned:
Most people in the gym want to see you win. They’re there for the same reason—to get better.
One time I thought people were staring at me. Turns out, they came over and helped me. They weren’t mocking me. They were supporting me.

3. People See Themselves First 👀

When I bought my blacked-out S3, I felt like the dog’s boll***s driving it. For about a week, I thought everyone was looking at me. Then I realised something:
People didn’t think I was cool. They thought, “If I had that car, I’d feel so cool.”
Or, honestly, they thought I had a small willy. Probably the latter. 😂
The point? People are too busy thinking about themselves.

Final Thoughts

Don’t lock yourself away. If you do, it becomes harder and harder to get back to your baseline. Take small steps. Leave the house. Go for a walk. Hit the gym.

You’re stronger than you think.
