The Don’t Think Rule 🧠
This is something I came up with to help with my anxiety, and it’s stupidly simple:
If your gut tells you to do something—do it immediately.
Let me explain.
Why This Works ✅
Say you’re at a club or a networking event and you see someone interesting. Your gut says:
“Go say hi.”
If you move right then, you’ll be fine. You’ll figure it out on the spot.
But if you wait? Your brain will ruin it.
It’ll throw out a million excuses:
- “They look busy.”
- “They won’t care.”
- “Now’s not the right time.”
That’s not logic—it’s fear. And fear grows the longer you think.
How to Use It ⚡
Next time you feel that gut instinct—act immediately.
Don’t think. Just move.
Worst case? It flops.
Best case? You just made a new connection, friend, or opportunity.
Either way, you win, because you didn’t let fear control you.
Final Note
Sorry today’s blog is short—but this rule is one of the most powerful tools I’ve found for beating anxiety.
Try it. Live by it. And see how your confidence changes.
