Why FreePlug is Different
As I write this, I’m not 100% sure what FreePlug is anymore. It started as a simple idea—a student discount platform. I tried that for a while, but it went nowhere. So I made a choice:
Evolve, or die.
Most discount platforms are the same: all deals, no soul. FreePlug is different, and here’s why.
1. Content Comes First ✍️
Unlike other sites tied down by sponsors and brand deals, I have the freedom to keep it real. No sugar-coating. No fluff.
I’ll only share what I genuinely care about—topics I’m passionate about, thoughts that matter, and ideas that could help someone.
2. It’s Personal 🙋♂️
FreePlug isn’t a big corporate machine. It’s just me (and occasionally my mate ChatGPT, who I force into weird outfits for these blogs 🤣).
Right now, yeah—we’re still mainly a student discount platform. Will it stay that way? Honestly, I don’t know. The blog might take over. The point is, this space is real, raw, and true to me.
That means all the bad jokes, ADHD tangents, and random “ChatGPT acting performances” you see? 100% authentic.
3. Morals > Money 💰✖️
A friend once told me the ads on the site were annoying—so I toned them down. Why? Because your experience matters more than a quick buck.
Money comes and goes. This is a business, sure—but I’d rather keep my morals than sell out for a small fortune.
So… Why Are We Different?
Because FreePlug isn’t just a platform—it’s an extension of me.
I’m putting my name, personality, and values on the line. This isn’t some faceless brand trying to squeeze pennies out of students. This is me building something I believe in.
